Description

Congresso SIe-L 2005, Firenze
Intervento di Pierfranco Ravotto

Abstract in inglese: The theme of eLearning, meant as an enrichment of traditional face-to-face learning, of the Internet seen as a learning environment suitable to promote an ongoing process of knowledge construction, represents the background of the SLOOP project. The partnership is composed of ITSOS “Marie Curie” (promoter), Centro METID of Politecnico in Milan. ITD-CNR in Palermo, Scienter and Irish, Spanish, Slovenian and Romanian training institutions.
In order to organise eLearning paths we need Quality learning materials, specifically developed to be delivered online: this is maybe one of the barriers preventing a wide use of the net. This is the reason why the SLOOP project - Sharing Learning Objects in an Open Perspective – aims to boost a process based on a collaborative use, adaptation and improvement of Learning Objects according to the model of Free/Libre & OpenSource Software - that, in the software field, has proved to be successful.
The objective of the project are the construction of a management system for the production- use – modification of Free LOs and the production of a first set of LO collections concerning the integration of face-to-face. work-based and eLearning and the way how to develop LOs according to standards.
After presenting the aim and the objectives of the project, this article focuses on pedagogical aspects, identifying several types of possible LOs with particular attention to both the level of interactivity between the learner and the LO itself and the interactivity that is foreseen between the teacher/tutor and the group of peer.
