Abs tract: The Grand Central semantic wiki is designed to merge the benefits of the quick and informal data entry styles common to wiki platforms with the robust data management capabilities of traditional enterprise content management systems. Incorporating many recent advances in web technologies, including wikis, semantic web technologies, RSS, and search as a primary data access interface, it seeks to speed and simplify collaboration in the enterprise. Based on user studies, we have developed an experimental prototype and are currently targeting a deployment to assist some field engineers.
