Description

Cartoon games have gained a lot of interest over a limited period of time. Thanks to the diminishing playgrounds. But psychiatrists attribute it to very complex psychology behind those playing cartoon games on the internet. Just imagine most of these games involve killing people on the press of a button and having control over a hero featured in the game. There is a big element of ‘control over the cyber world’ reflected through these games. And the best part is every time the hero risks his life and dies; all you need to do is to restart the game to give him re-birth and start all over again. Easy, isn’t it?

Cartoon games provide personal gratification. Beating and killing an enemy in the game is more gratifying than watching them on videos or movies. This is proved to be more satisfying for people who have less control over their own lives. Cartoon games also are a mode of escapism. You escape for a limited period from the worries and tensions of the real world.

Certain cartoon games also reflect ones interest in history. If one likes the Victorian era or wants to fight a lion in the Roman arena; there are games which makes one a hero in their favorite era. Solving puzzles, the ever known hobbies are best caught over the cartoon games. For a cartoon game designer, it is very important to know as to why the game is being played, so he can design a good one. A bad game can really be frustrating.
