Where we are in place and time
OCTOBER 4, 2010
We are beginning our second unit ofinquiry for the year. It comes under the organizing theme of Where we arein place and time.Our central idea is:
Access to opportunities isdetermined by bordersand citizenship.
We will be inquiring into this throughthe concepts of FORM, CONNECTIONand RESPONSIBILITY.Our Lines of Inquiry are:
Access to natural resources
The impact the physicalenvironment has on people andsociety
Inter- political, social, economic,geographical (natural), languagebordersWe will be taking a field trip to MuangBoran (Ancient Siam) on October 20th.More details will be posted on our blogs closer to the time.We also have a guest speaker comingto speak to us about her work withrefugees.Both Thai Studies and ICT will link closely with this unit.
OTHER REMINDERS:
Year 4 are running the assembly on
Tuesday October 12th
at
10.45am
in the
Theatre.
Please feel free to come along.
 
Year 4 Camp Parent Information Evening
will be on
October13th at 5pm
in the
Theatre -
4th floor of the CAB.
Three Way Conferences
are on
Thursday October 14th
as per your allocated time.Year 4 are aiming to have
all parent communication online
in 2011 and no paper.Please begin to check the blogs:
