INFORMATION AND REFERRAL SPECIALIST
FUNCTION: Provides information and referral to Summit County residents by linkingclients with the assistance they need. Processes requests on a variety of contract lines.PROGRAM: Information & Referral
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Answers the Information & Referral telephone lines, assesses the caller's needs,provides Information & Referral service through the use of agency's resource systemand documents calls answered.2. Answers all contract lines and documents calls answered.3. Follows up with clients to see that needed services were received.4. Maintains accurate records of all calls and services provided as required.5. Answers Lifeline phone line and Administration line as assigned and responds toLifeline client needs.6. Screens clients for other Info Line programs.7. Attends and participates in staff meetings as scheduled by Program Supervisor.8. Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's Degree or previous human services experience required; prior experience inInformation & Referral agency helpful; demonstrated listening and communication skillsnecessary.
