Wow your blowing my mind! Wasn't some of the images from there computer generated? What I saw that in the news and was really upset. Cause the day before i woke and saw what i thought was shot of fireworks and the opening of the ceremony. IT turned out some of the images were not real! It was because of the pollution was too much and the photos were not turning out well! Has anyone else seen this on the news?

why must they do this to china they had the best opening ceremony the world has ever seen. honestly china is one of the most fair mined countries out there who refuses to be manipulated by any other country especially the USA. yea thats right the US who wanted to do over the 100m womens race just because they didnt get a medal the event signed a protest can u believe it. Jamaica won gold and two silver medals because two of the girls tied for second place and every one knows that when two people get silver a third place medal isnt given.US really need to know when to accept defeat and stop embarrassing themselves and leave china alone

Anyone who suggests we stop buying Chinese goods, I hope they don't live in the U.N. States, because almost everything we use comes from China.Every time I lift my coffee cup, I'm making a toast to China. I bought a pair of Reeboks...made in China. I bought baby clothes for my grandchild...made in china. I could go on and on into reality. We have brand name products..made in China.

That's a beautiful picture. Too bad it's for propaganda purposes only. Dispite the human tragedy and loss of property, China is still the super power the United States does not want to recognize for fear of losing face with the world. You just have to see the whole ball of wax to realize it...I have.

Absolutely appropriate! However, sadly, despite everyones' efforts it is unfortunate that we are fighting against a regime who has no regard for the international community and who doesn't care what anyone think of them. This is evident in all the bold statements and the refusal to do anything or comply with any requests from the international community. The best we can do is to boycott the Olympics, becuase sorry, it is linked, especially in this case to china's politics and therefore cannot be separated, and most importantly, stop buying chinese goods. This is the strongest weapon we have. If we don't buy it, our governments and retailers will have to stop. I am acutely aware that this is going to be a difficult one as EVERYTHING is made in china these days. But if we can just start by only buying if we really have to, it will have an impact, so no to chinese make or unmarked goods where possible. Thirdly, the International Community has to recognise that this is an unscrupulous regime and the western worl is continuing to power their might and putting us in a very precarious situation - god forbid the day they turn on the west, this WILL happen, no doubt about it. I hope our governments can see this and stop choosing cheap trade over human rights.
