Use
General Objectives:

By the end of the lessons, students should be able to:

i) Use vocabularies that used to promote the product in the speech.


ii) Use the techniques to promote the product.
Specific Objectives:

By the end of the lesson, students should be able to:

i) plan and create the products.

ii) Create the banner of the products

iii) Elaborate about the details of the products.

LESSON 1
Set Induction ( 5 minutes)
1. Teacher plays the video about ‘Nokia Product
advertisement’ to the students.

2. Teacher asks students some questions.


i) “What is the advertisement about”?
ii) “What types of promotion that you can use?”
Activity 1
1) Teacher asks students to brainstorm about the advertisement
that they have watched before.

2) Teacher asks some questions.


i) who is the target audience?
ii)What business sponsored the advertisement?
iii) What is the benefit of the product?”
Activity 2
 Teacher distributes the handouts about “
New Motorola Hand phones” to the students.

 Teacher chooses students randomly and read the passage.

 Teacher discusses with the students about the meaning of the


vocabularies that they do not know.
Activity 3
 1) Teacher asks students to answer the
comprehension questions based on the “New Motorola hand
phone” passage.

 2) Teacher discusses the answer with the students.

Closure
1) Teacher asks the students what are the main points that they
must identify before they promote their products.
LESSON 2
Set Induction
1) Teacher writes some persuasive vocabularies on the
board.

the advertisement?
Activity 1
1)Teacher distributes the handouts that contain the
persuasive words.
2) Teacher asks them to write 15 sentences using that
vocabularies.

Activity 2
1) Teacher asks students work in pairs and choose a persuasive
written article like promoting product.

2) Underline the persuasive vocabularies that they find in the


article.
Activity 3

1)Teacher gives the product that they have to sell. Each group
will get a product ( shoes, watch and recipes book) and they have
to do a role play.
2) They discuss with each other and create their own dialogue.
They are given about 15 minutes to discuss about the dialogue.
3) Each group need to promote their product, 2 persons in the
group act as seller of the product and the others act as customer.
Closure

1) Teacher asks students about what they have learnt. Teacher


asks students the examples of persuasive vocabularies that they
have learnt.
LESSON 3

Set Induction
1) Teacher asks students some questions such as “where is the
place that you wish to go?”
Activity 1
1)Teacher plays a video about
Mongolia : Lonely Planet Travel.
2) Teacher asks students to jot down some notes about
Mongolia while they watch the video.
3) Teacher asks students about Mongolia.
Activity 2
1) Teacher draws Pros and Cons column on
the board.

2) Teacher chooses randomly students to


come in front of the class and write their points on the
board.

3) Teacher discusses the answer with the


students.
Activity 3
1) Teacher distributes the handouts to the students.
2) Students need to write an essay about
“why we should spend holiday at Mongolia”.

Closure
1)Students submit their essay. Teacher asks once again regarding
their opinion about Mongolia.
LESSON 4
Set Induction
1) Teacher asks students randomly what types of TV
programme that they like to watch. Teacher points out
the most of the programs they watch have breaks for
product advertisements.
• “What kinds of products are shown during the programs?

• “Why do you think the business advertises these


products?”
Activity I
1)Teacher plays videos about PEPSI and
Hershey’s syrup commercial. Teacher asks students to
understand about the video first.

2) Then, teacher distributes the handouts contains the questions


about both commercials I and II.

3) Students are required to answer the questions based on the


commercial.
Activity 2
1) Teacher asks students to sit in the group of 4 or 5.

2) Teacher asks them to discuss about the product that they are
going to create and promote to the audience. (In next lesson)

3) Teacher distributes the handouts which contains the details


of the product that they have to fill in.
Activity 3
1) Teacher listens to the students’ explanation.

2) Teacher explains to the students that about the product that


they want to promote next week.

3)They also need to create their own banner of the products.


All the details that they fill in the column in activity II must be
included in the power point.
Closure
 1) Teacher asks what they have learnt in the lesson.
 Teacher asks students randomly about what is the main point
that we must include in promoting the product.
