necessary liturgical arrangements.

Pastoral visits are made monthly.
Reception of Holy Communion is
available to residence.

illness occurs. When the sick, aged or
for an extended time, a pastoral visit
can be arranged.

We are grateful to those who
give of their time and care to
bring Holy Communion to our parishioners who can-
not make it to church due to sickness or infirmity. If
you know of anyone who would like to receive com-
munion in their home or while hospitalized at West
Lincoln Hospital, please contact the parish office.
SANCTUARY LAMP
We have openings for the Sanctuary Lamp in 2019.
If you would like to book a particular week in
memory of your loved one, please contact the office
sooner rather than later as the year is filling up. Cost
is $35 per week.
CANADIAN TIRE MONEY
We continue to collect your Canadian Tire
money. It can be brought to the office or placed in
the collection basket.

Our advertising sponsors on the back of the bulletin
support us and make your bulletin possible; their ad-
vertising revenue reduces our printing costs. Please

This week the Sanctuary Lamp burns in

Christ’s presence in the Blessed Sacrament of the
altar. If you wish to sponsor the sanctuary lamp

HEALING MINISTRY SUPPORT GROUP
For persons separated or divorced: would it
help you to have people around you to un-
derstand what you're going through? The
St. Catharines Diocese support group
meets every second and fourth Monday

September 24: "Coping with Stress"
LIFE CHAIN - SUNDAY, SEPT. 30, 1-2 pm
On Sunday, September 30 from 1 - 2 pm we plan
to gather at the intersection of Main St and Christie
St in Grimsby to pray for an end to abortion. We will
be joining our prayers with thousands of people in
1600 locations across Canada and the United States
who will be forming Life Chains on the same day!
We will pray silently and hold professionally-
printed signs provided at the site. We will peacefully
stand in honor of the 60 million lives who have been
lost to abortion. This is a local witness intended to
generate thought and discussion within our commu-
nity and to demonstrate that abortion is not a closed
or settled issue in this country.

The Roman city of Caesa-
rea Philippi was as far north
as Jesus ever got. From
there, Jesus turned south to-
ward his final destiny, Jerusalem. But, before leaving
there, Jesus asked the question: “Who do people say
that I am?”
It remains a question for all around the world.
Catholics worshipping at the Greenland Thule Air
Base, 800 miles from the North Pole, will answer
that question. At the tip of South America, where
Cape Horn points toward Antarctica, the question
will be asked in the Patagonian city of Ushuaia, Tier-
ra del Fuego. From Jakarta to Quito, from Africa to
India, nearly 1.3-billion Catholics in the world will
be answering with Peter: “You are the Christ.” What

MCNALLY HOUSE HOSPICE
CAREGIVER SUPPORT GROUP
McNally House Hospice is once again hosting a
Caregivers Support Group this September 2018.
Anyone caring for an ill loved one can sign up!
It is a free 6 week program geared towards support-
ing those who are doing the most selfless job: caring
for a spouse, parent, child or friend. The program is
geared to create a safe space to talk with others expe-
riencing the same challenges in a similar situa-
tion. Please note that this is not an educational work-
shop, but purely a support group. Starts: Monday
September 17th from 2 pm – 3:30 pm. It runs for
6 weeks, excluding Thanksgiving Monday. To regis-

FIRST CONFESSTION AND FIRST COMMUN-
ION: A Registration meeting for parents of grade 2
students baptised in the Roman Catholic Church who
are preparing to celebrate the Sacraments of First
Confession and First Communion this school year
will take place on Wednesday, September 26, 2018
at 7:00 PM in the parish hall. Students are welcome
