I am an Ex Rhodesian who fished the Kariba Internationals during the 60's & 70's and we used the goliath tiger as live bait, would you believe? I didn't think so! But seriously the biggest tiger I ever caught was only 11lbs 7oz.I also recall that a tiger of about 35lbs was caught in a net at Kariba, many years back, but this may not be the current record!Is there any chance someone can introduce the goliath into Kariba and make things interesting again?

When i was in the Caprivi for my army service, i caught a 6kg Tiger. This one is a great catch and a nice monster. enjoy.

Great Pictures. I lived 20 years in Rhodesia, (Zimbabwe)from 1955 to 1975 and in those days they had International Tiger fishing contests in Lake Kariba in those days.
