New things around - Games for our Youth

9 square is a modern version of the old
school 4 square. It is 9 square in the
air, made out of PVC pipe. You hit
the ball up and over to another square
without it going out of bounds, then the
other player hits it to another square, if
you miss, you’re out. Thanks goes to
Mike Finley for cutting the supplies
for both games and to Mke, Avrey
Finley and Taylor West for assem-
bly.

Ga-ga Ball is Jewish in origin and was played in the 60’s

by Jewish youth in Israel. It is a form of our doge ball,
but played in a pit. You must hit someone below the
knees and it must touch the wall or someone else, be-
fore you can touch it again. Loads of fun for everyone.
Shout out to Mike, Wade, Skye, Levi, Landon and Cade
for putting it together and
trying it out to make sure it
was ga-ga worthy.

Service Projects

In our planning meeting we talked about giving back and doing service in our community. We are scheduled
to make dinner, serve, and clean up at the Just Another Tuesday dinner 4 times this year. If you are unfa-
miliar with this ministry, it serves dinner every Tuesday @ 5:00 at the Otterbein United Methodist Church.
We will need 4 teams of youth and parents that will be willing to take a turn. Teams would provide the food,
drinks, and deserts. Plates cups and silverware are provided.

Our turns are as follows: Oct. 23, Jan. 8, Mar. 5, and May 7.
It is important to give back, so if you went on a mission trip last year, or are planning on going on one this
year, it is encourage that you put in at least 30 hours of community service for the year to get scholarships
for the trips. Watch your google sheets for up sheet.

We have been asked to cook and serve hot dogs

for the Otterbein’s annual Trunk or Treat Oct. 31st
4:30 to 6:00ish. Otterbein will furnish supplies. If
you have a car and want to decorate your truck
and hand out candy that would be awesome. Con-
gregation is invited to join in or donate candy!
