Prophet Abraham (A.

S) in the Quran
(In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful, all praise and thanks are due to Allah, and
peace and blessings be upon His Messenger)

The Messenger Abraham (A.S) have a significant place in history of Islam since he was tested by
a King (Nimrod) and was thrown in fire which extinguished. There are other events when
Abraham made the Kaa’ba, House of Allah Almighty, and how he followed the word of Allah
and was willing to sacrifice his own son when a lamb was placed in the position of his Son. Read
some of the quoted references.

“And remember Abraham and Isma`il raised the foundations of the House (with this prayer):
"Our Lord! accept (this service) from us; for thou art the All-Hearing the All-Knowing.”(Surah
Al-Baqara)

“And remember that Abraham was tried by his Lord with certain commands, which he fulfilled;
He said: "I will make thee an Imam to the nations." He pleaded: "And also (Imams) from my
offspring!" He answered: "But my promise is not within the reach of evil-doers." (Surah Al-
Baqara)
