CONFIDENTIAL RETIREMENT AND SEVERANCE AGREEMENT This Confidential Retirement and Severance Agreement (“Agreement”) made as of this day of , 2008, by and between AIEEE tie Baltimore Police Department BPD") is intended to describe fully and completely the terms oD separation from his employment with BPD and to establish the beginning date of his retirement, WHEREAS QB has informed the Police Commissioner of his decision to retire from the BPD and whereas the BPD recognizes the service he has given to the Department and the citizens of the City of Baltimore. WHEREAS, the parties have developed this Agreement to reflect the mutual respect held by the parties and with the desire to set forth the terms that constitutes a fair, full, and final statement of all aspects of QED retirement from the BPD. This Agreement does not effect any entitlement of QED in the Baltimore Police and Fire Pension System. WHEREAS, the parties agree that this Agreement is a personnel action and shalll remain confidential unless a court of competent jurisdiction orders disclosure. COMPENSATION. QQ will be paid, in a lump sum, any remaining accumulated and unused vacation time remaining on his Retirement Date within one hundred and cighty (180) days from the Separation Date. BPD will deduct from this gross sum, federal withholding taxes and other gamishment and debt deductions BPD is required by law to make from wage payments to employees. 3. CONFIDENTIALITY. (a) The BPD and@QEM>desire and agree to keep the terms of this Agreement confidential and not to discuss it or reveal its terms to any person or entity unless required by law or court order.
