ADA – Path of Travel Assignment

Illustrate Path of Travel and elements along that path that must be made accessible in
the following document:

1. Site Plan – 11x17

Denote on the Site Plan a thick dashed line from public accessible parking to one
of the following spaces
• Restroom next to kitchen in Hang Ten Annex
• Seating in the Auditorium – Main Building
• Victor Parga’s Office – 2nd Floor Main Building
• Dean’s Office – 3rd Floor Main Building
• Receptionist Desk – Main Lobby off 14th Street

2. Denote on the plan10 items along Path of Travel that must meet Accessibility per
CBC 2007 Chapter 10
3. State and briefly describe each of the 10 items
4. Cite each item with a section of the code (eg. CBC 1008.1.1)
5. Provide Title Block with your name, class, name of project
6. Provide North Arrow, graphic Scale of drawing
7. Deliver 11x17 to class no later than Tuesday 7:05p October 26th, 2007

Example:

Door Width must swing 90 degrees in direction or egress travel and be no less than
32inches in Width per CBC 11B-5B (a)
