Bolt one of cubby beams(B) into housings acrossback of cubby, then add two verandahbeams (C) into housings either side ofthe verandah. Check for level, then boltenclosing beams (D, E, F) to face ofposts so that perimeter is enclosed bybeams. Secure end of cross beam (E)to verandah beam with three bridgespikes. Finally add remaining cubby andverandah beams (B, C) equally spacedinside the framework using joist hangers.
Before fitting decking, usetimber offcuts as nailingblocks where decking butts againstposts. Cut decking (G) to fit framing andaround posts. Depending on spacing, one or two may need ripping down to suitwidth. Nail in place.

Cut off any projectingpost sections.
Cut the top chords (M)of the roof trusses with a22.5°angle at each end. Nail togetherat the top and lay the assembly overthe bottom chord (N), which has afinal length of 1510mm. The top chordoverhangs are equal. It helps to place ablock under the top joint. Mark the acutecutting angles on the bottom chord andcut. Nail together, then add a king post(O) to support the ridge. Reinforce the joints with nail plates, then skew-nail totop of wall frames.

Make a ladder byscrewing rungs (X1)spaced 250mm apart to rails (X2).Screw to decking if desired.
Cut swing posts to2.4m to fit swing beam(Y), house ends into posts and securewith long screws and nail plates.Drill through and fix purpose madeanchors for swing ropes and theclimbing rope to clear by 400mm.
Use decking or similarfor trim (Z) arounddoor and window openings.
Add slippery dip to sidedoor, holding in placeby screwing from underside of cubby.Clear all obstructions around swing andslippery dip and provide a soft landingarea. Add a few handles near slipperydip and ladder. Round and sand all sharpedges.
