Council President Murphy called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm and read the
Open Public Meetings Statement:
The notice requirements provided for in the “Open Public Meetings Act” have
been satisfied. Notice of this meeting was properly given in a notice which was
transmitted to the Times of Trenton and the Trentonian, filed with the Clerk of the
Township of Ewing and posted in the Ewing Township Municipal Complex, all on
the 8th day of January, 2010.

PRESENTATION
CONSENT AGENDA:
1. Authorization for the Chief Financial Officer to pay Township bills in the
amount of $713,118.91.
I. BUDGET AMENDMENT
1. The public hearing on the budget amendment was opened. Mark Fetter
(Concord Ave) and Kate Tuttle (8 Locke Ct) commented).
The public hearing on the Ordinance was opened./ Don Apai (2181
Pennington Road) commented on Comcast’s pricing policy. Mr. Steinmann
moved to table consideration of the ordinance pending further review. After
a second by Mr. Summiel, the Ordinance was tabled.

Mr. Steinmann discussed the Resolution and felt that it provided an opportunity to
manage an ongoing problem. He also noted that it was imperative to keep
discussion open between the township and the volunteers to adequately mange the
problem and avoid unnecessary problems.

Mr. Steinmann then moved the Resolution, seconded by Mr. Cox..
COUNCIL REPORTS
Mr. Cox reported that there was no Senior Citizens Advisory Council and that he
had attended a concert honoring long time musician Bill Holcombe.
Mr. Steinmann reported that The College of New Jersey had made a presentation to
the Planning Board concern the proposed College-Community Center. And had
agreed to a review by the Board.
Ms. Wollert reported on the School Board review of the proposed budget, noting
that 60 positions were being cut due to the reduction of State aid.
Council President Murphy noted that the district had been hurt by the loss of Sate
aid.
Mark Fetter (Concord Ave) noted the conflict of cuts in the school budget and
public needs.. Mildred Russell () complemented police Lieutenant DeAngelo.
Charles Green (979 Bear Tavern Rd) commented about the Township website.
There being no further business, President Murphy called for a motion to adjourn.
Mr. Cox so moved, seconded by Mr. Steinmann. The meeting was adjourned at
9:41 pm.
