The purpose of the audit is todetermine whether the City implemented its housing and economic development programs in aneffective, efficient, and economical manner and in accordance with HUD rules and regulations.As part of the audit, we reviewed the Desire Community Housing Corporation (Desire), asubrecipient of the City, to determine if Desire performed in accordance with HUD, City, andcontractual requirements.The report contains three findings requiring follow-up actions by your office. We will provide acopy of this report to the City and Desire.In accordance with HUD Handbook 2000.06 REV-3, within 60 days, please furnish this office,for each recommendation in this report, a status on: (1) corrective action taken; (2) the proposedcorrective action and the date to be completed; or (3) why action is not considered necessary.Additional status reports are required at 90 days and 120 days after report issuance for anyrecommendation without a management decision. Also, please furnish us copies of anycorrespondence or directives issued related to the audit.Please call William W.
