The Workshop will explore the heritagemanagement implications of ‘realisingthe reality’ of placing people centrestage in decisions concerning heritageconservation. How can individuals andgroups – heritage experts, localcommunities and visitors - take an activerole in shaping the ‘heritage of place’?How are conflicting interests resolved?What is the experience of NorwichHEART?The day will finish with a guided walkthrough tourist Norwich to enableparticipants to see how the different sitesand attractions are experienced by thevisitor within the urban cultural tourismlandscape of the city.The outcome of all three events, theNorwich Accord, will feed into theICOMOS International ScientificSymposium on Spirit of Place at theICOMOS General Assembly in Quebec,Canada, in October 2008.
