Of course it is difficult whenyoung men and young womenintermingle. But the Krish-na consciousness movementis meant to reform every-thing. Such desires should be checked, and that is onlypossible if one is strictly Krishna con-scious. The more
Kali-yuga
advances, themore people will suffer in so many ways. The only solace, only solution, is Krishnaconsciousness. If she becomes Krishnaconscious then she doesn’t require a hus- band. She will know that “Krishna is myprotector. Why shall I artificially seek afterfather or husband?” And what few days ofprotection will either the father or the sonor the husband be able to give? Real pro-tection is Krishna. This other protection istemporary. It’s only required because wehave this material body. This kind of hypocrisy — taking
sannyāsa
and then mixing with woman — is not to be allowed. If someone wants a womanthen they should get married and live re-spectfully. We have no objection. But thishypocrisy should be stopped. So manyhave fallen down. I have got a very badexperience. Henceforth we are not going tocreate new
sannyāsīs
. And those who havefallen down, let them marry and live likerespectable gentlemen. After all, a youngman falling down — that’s all right. It isnature’s way. But they should marry thatgirl. I am insisting on this from the very beginning — no friendly liaison. If youwant, get a wife and live like a gentle-man. The same goes for the women. Theyshould fastidiously live with one husbandand children. What is the wrong there? Wehave so many
 ghastha
devotees. There is noprohibition against marriage. But what isthis nonsense of taking
sannyāsa
and thenmaking relations with women? This should be completely stopped. In the campuses of our temples only thosewho are actually eager to advance in Krish-na consciousness should live. Nobody else.We give free food, free apartment, cloth, and everything. “Come here. Live. As faras possible we shall provide.” But thisis specially meant for
bhagavad-bhajana
.

Attend
ārati
, rise early in the morning, attend the functions, and take
prasādam
.Everything should be organized in this way— not loosely. This whole campus should be for devotees. We don’t want tenants. Itshould be developed for the purpose ofcultivating Krishna consciousness. Eitherhere or outside India this principle should be followed. We don’t want a hodgepodgesociety. Let it be very pure.
ekaś candrastamo hanti na ca tārā
— “One moon is suffi-cient. There is no need of millions of stars.”[Chanakya Pandit] In this way, if we canmake one person really Krishna conscious, then our mission is successful. What is theuse of millions of twinkling stars?

If
varāśrama
and other fruitive ac-tivities enjoined in the
śāstras
becomeprominent in one’s life, then one cannot become
akiñcana
, or fully dependent onthe Lord. Rather, these activities provokeoffenses against the chanting of the holynames in the form of conceptions of “I”and “mine.” If a person who is fully sur-rendered to Krishna becomes proud offollowing
varāśrama
principles, then itmust be considered that he has becomemost unfortunate.

The following song describes the beauty of the deity of Govinda in Vrindavan and wascomposed by Srila Srinivas Acharya. It re-counts Srimati Radharani’s words to one of her

What sculptor created the moon of Govinda’sface? Who sculpted Govinda’s two eyes? Onlymy life-breath witnesses what my life-breathfeels as I gaze on Govinda.

Gracefully, gracefully Govinda walks, cast-ing crooked glances from his eyes like anintoxicated elephant. Srinivas says: I haveseen Govinda in this way. The demigodBrahma has no power to create the ocean ofhandsomeness that is Sri Govinda.
