Two Application Deadlines for SpecialPermit Bird Hunts
The application deadline for all special permitsandhill crane hunts and youth waterfowl huntsat Bernardo WMA is
Wednesday, Sept. 8

Online application must be made before 5 p.m.on the deadline day.The application deadline for all Bernardo WMAlight goose special permit hunts, youth-onlylight goose hunt and special permit pheasanthunts is
Wednesday, Nov. 3.
Onlineapplication must be made before 5 p.m. on thedeadline day.
Residents pay a $10 application fee whilenonresidents pay a $27 application fee.
Season Dates Adjusted
Season dates have been adjusted for thenew calendar year. All dates are 2010 unlessindicated.
Additional Squirrel Species
Squirrel species available to hunt include: Abert's, Arizona gray squirrel, fox squirrel,Eastern gray squirrel and red squirrel.
GS-1E Eliminated
The Experimental Grouse/Squirrel Zone 1 hasbeen eliminated.

The New Mexico Department of Game and
Fish has a main ofce in Santa Fe and fourarea ofces. Licenses for most species aresold over the counter at the main and areaofces and from about 230 vendors statewide,including discount and sporting goods storesand bait and tackle shops.

.2. Anyone hunting, shing or trapping on any U.S. Forest Service or Bureau of LandManagement (BLM) lands must have a
Habitat Improvement Stamp
.3. Anyone hunting migratory birds must have a
Migratory Bird Permit (HIP) Number
.4. Waterfowl hunters, 16 years or older, need a
Federal Duck Stamp
