A letter from the officers

On behalf of the University of Massachusetts Cycling Club, we

would like to begin by thanking you for your interest in considering
becoming a team sponsor, and as a current sponsor, we thank you for
your continued support throughout the years.

In the past four decades, our riders have captured everything

from National Championship titles, Conference Championships,
regional esteem, and countless other victories in the region. UMass
has been the home for new and experienced cyclists to find inspiration in training, to develop
friendships, and to compete in collegiate cycling disciplines. Cyclists of all skill levels, especially
women and gender queer athletes, from our school community are welcome and encouraged
to be a part of our club. Through a strongly established sense of camaraderie and a clear vision
of our goals, we help one another reach our full potential as a cyclist and a teammate.
All the while, we pride ourselves in representing the UMass Community wherever we ride.

Being a Student-Run organization, we depend on the generosity of our supporters to

help us continue these great undertakings. Acquiring financial assistance aids in our
fundamental expenses, which include travel, equipment cost, entry fees and lodging. Your
support ensures that every club member will have an opportunity to ride in our club. Our
contributing partners are crucial to the continuing success of our team, bringing us that much
closer to making our goals attainable.

Our team is looking toward the future with high goals and the determination for

Outreach &
Community Involvment
UMass Cycling is a part of the Eastern Collegiate Cycling Conference (ECCC).
Our riders compete in four disciplines of cycling: road, track, mountain and cyclocross.
As well as participating in ECCC races throughout the Northeast Region, our club
members are active members of the local cycling scene in the Pioneer Valley.
From weekend coffee shop rides, to hitting intervals between class, catch us out there!

Members Service Hours

We are actively involved in representing UMass Cycling on and off the course. Each
year we volunteer in a broad range of events that benefit the Pioneer Valley community.
Annually, we also host at least one bike race on campus. Using the over 3 miles of mtb trails
we maintain on campus, we put on the O'Hill Assault MTB Race, well recognized as one of
the top grassroots races in the area. Our partnership with Northampton Cycling Club further
allows us to participate in the local cycling community on rides + volunteering at their events.

Mission Statement
UMass Cycling develops and runs men’s and women’s collegiate bicycle racing at all abili-
ty levels, from beginner to elite. UMass Cycling is a student-run organization, comprising
itself of full-time undergraduate and graduate students. We are dedicated to recreational
and competitive bicycling and strive to serve the campus community by creating and
sustaining a club of friends and teammates who share a passion for bicycling.

Club Budget
UMass Cycling receives a stipend from
the Student Government Association. This
amount is far short of full funding for the club.
Our budget estimate for the 2019 school year is
outlined below. The cost of racing – gas,race
fees, hotels, subsidizing clothing, equipment –
quickly absorbs our available budget. In order
to continue the success of our club, an
affordable experience is a top priority.

Club Exposure
By sponsoring UMass Cycling, you are supporting
a higher education, a healthy lifestyle, and community
development. This does not go unnoticed. At every
event that we hold and attend,spectators and
participants from all over are exposed to our sponsors
