Gone Fishin’

(LEWI opens door and casually walks into hallway from

outside. He pauses at a door with a sign reading
‘DETENTION’ and sighs. He opens the door and enters room
where JAMES is already present and writing lines. LEWI
pulls out a chair and sits down opposite JAMES.)

LEWI: (tapping fingers, friendly tone, trying to make

converstation) You alright?
JAMES: (nods non commitally)
LEWI: Where’s the teacher gone?
JAMES: (Looks off camera to the left. LEWI follows his
eyeline to the whiteboard, acknowledges message and nods
his head.)
LEWI: Alright. (Pause. More obvious attempt to make
conversation) Wonderful weather we’re having…?
JAMES: Mm (Pause)
LEWI: What are you in for?
JAMES: Talking in class.
