YOU CANNOT TAKE ANYTHING OUT OF YOUR BAG.YOU CANNOT SHOW YOUR NEIGHBOR THE ITEM INYOUR BAG.YOU CANNOT TALK ABOUT YOUR ITEM.You must view the item inside your bag without letting the peoplearound you know what it is. You can reach in and touch the item, if you need, but DO NOT take the item out of the bag.Your job is to write descriptively about the item WITHOUTactually naming the item.I will give you 15-20 minutes to free write. You should write atleast two paragraphs. Each paragraph should contain at least five toten sentences. This free write can be used as a rough draft for your descriptive essay that we will start writing next week. When time is up, we will be sharing what we wrote and the classwill be guessing as to what the item in your bag was. The moredescriptively you write about your item, the better the chances arethat we will guess what your item was. The goal is NOT to stumpthe class. The goal is to WRITE DESCRIPTIVELY USINGYOUR FIVE SENSES. Use your smell, sight, touch, hearing, andtaste (the objects DO NOT belong in your mouth. Do me a favor and please only IMAGINE what the item might taste like).Remember to use specific nouns and rich adjectives to talk aboutyour item.SHARING IS NOT OPTIONAL. I need to hear your responses sothat I can give you credit for participating in the free write. If called on, YOU MUST share. Do not be embarrassed or shy, weare all learning together!
