You probably hear all the doom and gloom of the work from home opportunities online. Tons of people are swearing them off left and right as scams. Network marketing, perhaps one of the best business models in the world where people actually get paid for their efforts is often targeted.

One of the main reasons is fairly simple. People usually (and I do say usually) don’t get burned by the Network Marketing company itself, but rather by the people that they choose to partner with. This is a shame, because had they been diligent and found partners that were really doing what they should be doing and actually mentoring these people for success, they would certainly have a whole new outlook on the situation. It can be said though that for every person with a “scam” story, there’s tons more with success stories that you just haven’t had the pleasure to hear. Bad news travels at a much higher rate than good news…always.

I do feel for the people who have had a bad experience with network marketing. It just doesn’t have to happen like that. The only way to avoid it, the way to cut your risks down 98% is to simply do your homework.
