Aesembly of God. uth December 1978. PRAYER BULEBTIN - No.1le Dear Prayer Partners, ‘Bid you ever read anything so wonderful? "Christ Jin you, the hope of glory!" (Col 1.27). When we take the Turd Jesus as our Saviour, He, through the Holy Spirit, cones to dwell in our hearts! What @ marvellous truth! what an inspiring thought! Does the consciousness of that truth thrill your soul? Do take time to meditate upon this wonder! If you do, you will find yourself saying, WGhrist dwells in Ge! in me! Such a thought is overwhelming!" as thie truth cinks in we enter a different world of tnought, and breathe a heavenly atmosphere. We begin to discover new vast spirit- ual resources. & rich experience of revival bursts upon us; we cone into a fuller realisation of the unbounded possibilities of the Christian life! To have Christ dwell in our hearts by faith, is 0 have "the house of our soul" transfigured into the "temple of the Holy Ghost'" - into a chamber filled with the mystery of God - into a vestibule of Heaven! Hallelujah! As He possesses our being, we look out through His eyes, upon the orld as it is, and assess ite true values. We also discem the approach of the world to come. While the immediate future may seen black to the naturel eye, the Christ Who dwelleth within is surely lighting the way for us, to the City of God! ‘The Morning Wate! As ve wait upon Him this momaing, let us meditate upon the foregoing asking Hin to revive the truta to us, and fill us afresh. "Into ny heart, Gone into my heart, Cone into my heart Lord Jesus". Read Hie Word - Have you been reading a chapter of the Gospels each day? This brings ue close to Jesus. Oh, keep close to lim! Meditate upon Him - read the following elowly, prayerfully, worship fully - "Jesus! How does the very word overflow with sweetness and light and love and life; filling the air with odours like a precious ointment poured forth; irradiating the mind with a glory of ‘truth on which no fear can live! Soothing the wounds of a heart with a balm that turns the sharpest anguish into delicious peace; shedding through the soul a flow of immortal strength! Jesus! The answer to all our doubts; the spring of all our cour~ age; the earnest of all our hopes; the charm omnipotent against all our foes; the remedy for all our weaknesses; the supply for all our yante; the fulness of all our desires. Jesus! At the mention of whose name every knee shall bow, and every tongue confess. Jesus! Our life, our power, our righteousness, our sanctific~ ation, our redemption. Jesus! Our Blessed Lord and Redeemer! ‘Thy name shall ever be the richest chord in the harmony of Heaven, while the angels and the redeemed unite their exiting, adoring songs around the throne of God! "Lord Jesus, Thy name is as ointment poured forth! Hallelujah! Bring your petitions ~ Use your prayer sheet. David says in Pealu 113.5 - "Prom the rising of the sun until the going down of the cane the Lord's name is to be praised". Of course we cannot, be praising God with our lips all day, but our hearts can praise Him ty being continuelly in a spirit of trustfulness obedience and joy in God. Such a spirit can abide with us whil perform our every day tasks - SUT ~ whenever opportunity affords we should find EXPRESSION T0 PRAISE (perhaps inaudibly). If we neglect to express our praise from time to time our feelings for Him tend to fede, we loce the keenness of our heart's joy and our gratitude, If praise is not expressed fron time to time, our love and devotion and our epiritual impulge®yill gcome weakened. "por every sin, God gave the Lamb; For every sigh God gives a Peala. Por every sore God brings a balm; For every storm God senis © calm. For every victor's hand - 2 palm!"
