Parallelogram law of vector addition 2 

But what is going to be the vector sum?? 

The broken line structure is going to be the vector sum. 

R. NOTE that the resultant is also drawn from the same point. 

And  the line is the diagonal of the parallelogram. 

So the parallelogram law of vector addition states that, 

“if 2 vectors are represented in magnitude and direction by the two 
adjacent sides of a parallelogram drawn from a point then their 
resultant is represented in magnitude and direction by the two adjacent 
side of a parallelogram drawn from the same point.”
