distributed quarterly, and are based on the accumulated stock dividends held in trust, less any expenses of the trust. also
called SPDRs or Spiders.

self-directed retirement account


A retirement account in which an investor designates an account custodian but still makes his/her owndecisions about
what stocks, bonds, and mutual funds to buy. These accounts are usually set up at abrokerage, and the investor is
often charged an amount above trading costs for operating a self-directed IRA.

quanto option
Option in one currency, but which pays out in another. Quanto options are usually used in cases when investorsare confident of the
underlying asset's performance, but are not confident of the performance of the currency which the underlying is denominated in.
