writers, poets and travelers, from the peaks of the Alps and the Dolomites, to the waves

Tourism promotion is highly oriented to food and wine lovers, a great example is the
creation of the “Wine and Dine Route of Friuli Venezia Giulia”: a profound food and wine-
based holiday experience that takes your senses on a journey which ideally connects
the coast with the mountainous area, whilst passing along the vineyards and regional
inland hills. Six experiences are offered to help tourists discover the region and meet the

an important heritage, with avant-garde architectural manifestations. In this
sustainable tourist destination, which occupies the first European position in
terms of green areas, a system of paths connect with the rural area, with priority
given to cycling and pedestrian mobility. There is a natural belt, with the parks
of the Green Belt at the head, and another agrarian one, responsible for the
local product culture, and the fact that here eating is much more than feeding.
Something reinforced also by the proximity to a wine area of great importance
such as Rioja Alavesa.
