Her story wheeled me right to the heart of the best of life
I'm not much of a bike rider, but Pattie made me want to be. Much, much more
than that though, her story wheeled me right to the heart of the best of life: The
magic that happens when you make the effort to be present, follow curiosities,
identify passions, throw yourself smack into the center of what brings you joy,
and embrace and love the people you meet along the way. As a change-maker,
her work is as impressive as the opportunities she's been able to create. As a
writer, her prose took me back and catapulted me forward all at the same time.
A quick, delightful read that will leave you energized and excited to "let go of the
brakes and let life rip!" Bravo, Pattie Baker. I LOVED it.

If a book is capable of transporting you back in time you better start packing
Wow. Pattie Baker hit it out of the ballpark with this one. If a book is capable of transporting you back in time you
better start packing. I was a kid again by the end of Chapter 1. I liked being a kid. It was really fun. Then Pattie
brought me forward to introspect and ask myself very real questions about me being a responsible adult. That turns
out to be a lot harder. Should be I guess. You'll find the book witty and compelling. You'll be smiling page by page as
you travel along with her at the speed of bike.

An interesting, thoughtful and thoroughly enjoyable story!
What a wonderful, warm and engaging read this is! Pattie Baker shines a light on so many of the unique opportunities
we have to improve the quality of life for so many of us with the simple embrace of a bike. She weaves these
opportunities into her lovely narrative, telling interesting stories you wont want to put down. As a fellow city dweller, I
applaud Pattie's courage and persistence in forging a safer, cleaner, more accessible city - one that can't get here a
minute too soon!

Wonderful journey down memory lane
Wonderful journey down memory lane. Lived on my bike as a child. Thanks for the information on how difficult it is to
ride a bike in many of today's communities. Loved reading about how you follow your passion. Very inspiring.

Passionate advocate for urban transportation change
A wonderful walk with Pattie through her life with bicycles. Many of her exploits are ones I have shared. Great read.

I feel like a kid again
After having read Pattie Baker's earlier book Food For My Daughters I bought 6 copies and gave it to all my
girlfriends that Christmas. I just finished Traveling at the Speed of Bike and ordered my Christmas presents early
this year. Pattie is a wonderful writer and a dreamer. She makes you feel that all things are possible - and she made
me laugh out loud. I look forward to what she writes next and guarantee my friends will too.
