General Objectives: By the end of the lesson, students should be able to identify the meaning,
purposes and steps of recycling.

Specific objectives : By the end of the lesson, students should be able to

1. Define the terms “reduce”, “reuse” and “recycle”.

2. Differentiate between the terms “reduce”, “reuse” and “recycle”.

3. Identify the materials which can be recycled and the purposes of

recycling.

4. Arrange the recycling steps correctly.

5. Produce 1 mind map based on the listed questions given.

Previous knowledge: Students know what is meant by rubbish or waste.

Teaching materials : Video clip, Overhead Projector (OHP), transparency slides, marker pen,

whiteboard, empty boxes, waste materials, drawing papers and manila


cards.
