so very true, Irma, I beleive that God collaborates but will not intervene - "We all stand in our own sowing and reaping, nothing a God on high could relieve us of." - excellent

And those are the best good deeds, the ones you do because you want to, not because you should. That picture of the bird flying so close to the barbed wire is chilling, a very apt metaphor for the risks of freedom.
