fans traveling together once they have got thee tickets

Looking back, we have made tremendous progress inthe
last twelve months. Harsh decisions have had to be made, many
of which were unpopular atthe time but now, looking bac, fans
are appreciating the necessity of them and we are beginning to
see the results: Our financial losses have been stipped, we are
no longer losing money an a day today bass. We are now
stable, We are slwiy paying ofthe debt overhang that crippled
the Club. We sill hae too high a wage bill and tht is something
that we have to suffer until the end of next season, when we
should be virually clear of past debts and crippling wage
‘commitments. On the field, Kevin Blackwell and his staff have
blended youth and experience to get us much better resus
despite losing key players lke Stone and Cressvel, while Hulse
has nursed a pre season injury throughout the campaign
Last Sunday gave a numberof pleyers the opportunity to
‘demonstrate their woth, Some did. Same didn, which wil be
taken ito consideration by Kevin when he plans his squad for
next season,
This summer, whatever the outcome ofthe pay-off, Eland
oad wil be a hive of acy. Bil’ Bar you already know about
‘We willbe meving the Cub offices to the South Stand, reing up
the East Stand for improved facies forthe fans, incluing the
Upper Tir. The ticket office and call centre will be relocated to the
enlarged West Stand ticket office which wil ao house the
Members Club head office. Yorkshire Radio willbe launched in.
July and further plans wil be developed to utimately make Elland
Road your second home, We have the fst drawings ofthe
proposed hotels tobe located between the East and South Stands
and the height will be jst below tat ofthe East Stand, esohing
some ofthe Counc’ expressed concerns. The Council have
made it dear that we can expect no help kom them, Fait enough
but we have to move on to become masters of eur own destiny.
Thank you forall your support - Sponsors, Corporates, the
100 Club, advertisers andthe ordinary fan inthe steet - the
backbone of the Cub. Last but not leas the taff who have
worked terbly hard throughout a year which has seen a
significant cuture change
Have a great summer ~ can't wat forthe fixture lit, also
Can't wat to see you al back at Eland oad in August
