Discipleship Chapter 3

1-The kinds of fruit seen in disciple of christ are Spirit is love (God's spirit ), joy, peace,
longsuffering (for believing in our savior) , gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness
(the feeling of patient, submissive humbleness), temperance: against such there is no
law. Showing these multiple signs are a good indicator you are a disciple of christ.
Gal 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness,
goodness, faith,
Gal 5:23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
Joh 15:8 Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my
disciples.

2- A disciple behaves and acts like teacher since they know how we talk, think act,
and perform tasks. Our Lord has promised us eternal life, and we never perish. No
man will be able to make believers into unbelievers.

Joh 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
Joh 10:28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall
any man pluck them out of my hand.

3-
Christ's loves for his disciple
• wash the disciples' feet
• Christ loves us
• Christ's sacrifice for us on the cross
• Giving woman to man

Evidence of recipicating love by his disciples

• Charity is suffering, kind, not full of envy, and not boastful of itself
• Love does not behave rudely, selfishly seek it own, not easily prevoked, and thinks
ofevil thoughts
• Loves does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoice in the truth
• Love pateintly endures, hope, and endures all things
• Follow God as dear childern follow parents
• Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands
• For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and
he is the saviour of the body. Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the
wives be to their own husbands in every thing.

Joh 13:5 After that he poureth water into a bason, and began to wash the disciples' feet,
and to wipe them with the towel wherewith he was girded.
1Co 13:4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not
itself, is not puffed up,
1Co 13:5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked,
thinketh no evil;
1Co 13:6 Rejoiceth not in , but rejoiceth in the truth;
1Co 13:7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
Eph 5:1 Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children;
Eph 5:2 And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an
offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.
Eph 5:22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.
Eph 5:23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the
church: and he is the saviour of the body.
Eph 5:24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own
husbands in every thing.
Eph 5:25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave
himself for it;
Eph 5:26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
Eph 5:27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or
wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
Eph 5:28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife
loveth himself.
Eph 5:29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it,
even as the Lord the church:
Eph 5:30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.
Eph 5:31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto
his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.
Eph 5:32 This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.
Eph 5:33 Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself;
and the wife see that she reverence her husband.

4- Disciple values the Bible, and priority is number one. It is clear our Lord wants us to
follow his word and priority is a must. Follow his word and don't look back. No
hestitations.

Joh 8:31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my
word, then are ye my disciples indeed;
2Ti 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be
ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Jos 22:5 But take diligent heed to do the commandment and the law, which Moses the
servant of the LORD charged you, to love the LORD your God, and to walk in all his
ways, and to keep his commandments, and to cleave unto him, and to serve him with
all your heart and with all your soul.
Luk 9:62 And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and
looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.

5- Disciple forsake all for Christ shown by Simmon and Peter to drop what they were
doing and follow our Lord. Christs states disciple must foresake all that he has or
they can can be my disciple.

Mat 4:17 From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of
heaven is at hand.
Mat 4:18 And Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon called Peter,
and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers.
Mat 4:19 And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.
Mat 4:20 And they straightway left their nets, and followed him.
Mat 4:21 And going on from thence, he saw other two brethren, James the son of
Zebedee, and John his brother, in a ship with Zebedee their father, mending their
nets; and he called them.
Luk 14:33 So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he
cannot be my disciple.

6- Below are interptation of verse showing how we think and responsed as true
disciples:

Mat 6:19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth
corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
Mat 6:20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust
doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
A-Do not take up worldly treasures. They will be deteariate with
time. These item can be easily be stolen wheras heaven treasures
can not.

Luk 18:22 Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lackest thou one
thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have
treasure in heaven: and come, follow me
B-Sell all we have and distribute to the poor, and we shall have
treasure in heaven. Follow our Lord

Act 2:45 And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every
man had need. C-sold everything

Mat 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these
things shall be added unto you. D-Seek God and his goodness first, and we will be
closer to him.

1Jn 3:17 But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and
shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in
him? E-A prosperous man see a brother in need but refuses to help out is not a Godly
man.

1Ti 5:8 But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he
hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel. F- Anyone who does not provide
for his family and relatives he has no faith in God, and worse than a unbeliever.

7-The lord gave us riches in heaven, eternal life. As disciple we can live a similar life to
our Lord. Jesus gave up a life in heaven to be with us, and was subjected to a life of
poverty. Like our Lord we must give give up what we have so we can rejoice with him
in eternal life.

2Co 8:9 For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet
for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.
