Special Thanks to Robert P. Watson, Ph. D., Professor of American Studies, Lynn University who compiled this list and writes " Like all presidents, Barack Obama has made mistakes. But, as a presidential historian, I have been struck by claims being put forward by Obama's many critics and the news media that he has accomplished little when, in fact, his presidency is easily one of the most active in history."

a nice summary

Todd, There are many things I wish he would have done, but its helpful for all, as you point out, to look at the facts. These accomplishments are only through 2010. He's done some good things since then. Too many people in both parties have a tendency to love him without looking deeply at what he's done or hasn't done or they hate him without looking deeply at what he's done or hasn't done.

What happened to transparency? I dont think he was willing to do this one.He loves the limelight ,but doesnt like the job as a servant of the people. Why is our media so unwilling to hold his feet to the fire as other presidents? We love him not for what he does but what we wish he would do. Kinda like getting a peace prize for nothing.

I'm one who had hoped President Obama would do more on behalf of regular folks and not just the rich and powerful. But he has done a lot. I'm hopeful he'll do more. Focusing on what people have done well, is a sure way to get them to do more. Focusing on what they don't do well is also a sure way to insure they will do more of the same.
