The Spiritual Assembly of the Baha’is of Toronto cordially invites you to

a public talk on:

Unity of Faith and Reason in Action

By Dr. H.B. Danesh

Date: Sunday, 21 November 2010

Time: 7:30-10:00 PM
Venue: Toronto Baha’i Centre, 288 Bloor Street West (at Huron;
TTC stops at St George or Spadina)

Unity of Faith and Reason in Action is a particularly timely topic for

our world where religions are highly conflicted, science and religion are
at odds, and the prospects for peace are very dim. The talk shows how
faith and reason can be in harmony, how the material and spiritual are
complementary, and how we can apply spiritually enlightened and
scientifically sound approaches to the fundamental questions of life at
the individual, family, and community levels.

Dr. H. B. Danesh is the founder and president of the International

Education for Peace Institute (Canada and Switzerland), visiting faculty
at the European Peace University (Austria); World Peace Academy,
University of Basel (Switzerland), and the former president of Landegg
International University, Switzerland. He is a retired professor of
conflict resolution, peace education, and psychiatry. Among his areas
of research and expertise are peace studies, nature and dynamics of
healthy marriage and family, and psychology of spirituality. Dr. Danesh
is the creator of the internationally acclaimed Education for Peace
Program and author of more than a dozen books and fifty articles
(www.hbdanesh.org). His most recent book is:
Unity of Faith and Reason in Action: A Journey of Discovery

Following the talk, the audience will have an opportunity to meet with
the author and obtain signed copies of his book.
