These mittens knit up very quickly. They are warm and soft, perfect for gentile hands!

US size 9 DPN

Approximately 130 yards (1 hank) Wool of the Andes Bulky Hand-Dyed (Robins Nest)

Cast On 28 st

K1 p1 for 8 rounds
Gusset:

1: (K12, k2tog) X2
2-4: Knit
5: k14, pm, m1, pm, k14
6: knit
7: k to marker, sm, m1, k1, m1, sm, k14
8: k
9: k to marker, sm, m1, k3, m1, sm, k14
10: k
11: inc
12: k
13: inc

15: inc

Hand:

1: Knit to markers, slip all stitches between markers onto stitch holder, continue knitting the rest
of the round.

2: k to thumb gap, m2dec, k—

Knit 19 rows

Finger decreases:

1: k2togback, k9, k1tog, k1 k2tog, k9, k2togback

2: k

Put all remaining st on scrap of yarn or stitch holder, flip inside out, put stitches back on needle, and
bind off with a double needle bind off.

Put thumb stitches on needles, and pick up 5 stitches along the side. The fist stitch on the side is
