Q.Is Mac OS X Leopard (v10.5) important to Creative Suite 3 customers?A.

Yes, Mac OS X Leopard—the latest version o Apple’s operating system—delivers an elegant,productive new computing experience or creative proessionals. Adobe and Apple have beencollaborating closely or months to ensure that Adobe Creative Suite® 3 applications can runsmoothly and reliably on Mac OS X Leopard. We are proud to support this impressive newoperating system, and to ensure that our creative customers can take ull advantage o theperormance and value o using Creative Suite 3 applications and Mac OS X Leopard onIntel-based and PowerPC Macs.

Q.Are Adobe Creative Suite 3 applications compatible with Mac OS X Leopard (v10.5)? I some are not ully compatible today, when will they be compatible?A.

Tanks to close collaboration between Adobe and Apple, most o the CS3 applications andassociated technologies, such as Adobe Bridge CS3, Version Cue CS3, and Device CentralCS3, are compatible with Mac OS X Leopard without requiring additional updates. However,the ollowing CS3 applications will require updates or ull compatibility with Leopard:Adobe Acrobat 8 Proessional and our proessional video applications, including AdobePremiere Pro CS3, Aer Eects CS3 Proessional, Encore CS3, and Soundbooth CS3. Weexpect to publish ree Leopard compatibility updates or the video applications in December2007 and or Acrobat 8 Proessional and Adobe Reader 8 in January 2008. Q.Will older versions o Adobe creative sotware—such as Creative Suite 2 andMacromedia Studio 8 sotware—support Mac OS X Leopard?A.

While older Adobe applications may install and run on Mac OS X Leopard, they weredesigned, tested, and released to the public several years beore this new operating systembecame available. You may, thereore, experience a variety o installation, stability, andreliability issues or which there is no resolution. Older versions o our creative soware willnot be updated to support Mac OS X Leopard. Q.Will Adobe continue to test CS3 applications on Mac OS X Leopard?A.

Yes. Adobe sets high standards o quality, stability, and reliability or our proessional creativeproducts, and we have worked closely with Apple to test Creative Suite 3 applications on bothpre-release versions and the nal shipping version o Mac OS X Leopard. While this testingshowed that most CS3 applications perorm well on Leopard (and that others run well butneed updates or a ew identied issues), we recognize that other issues may unexpectedly arise on any new operating system. We plan to continue testing and to monitor user experi-ence closely to address any such issues. I you encounter any issues, please report them by going to

Q.How do I get and install any required updates or Mac OS X Leopard compatibility?A.

Any required updates will be available through the Adobe Updater, a utility that’s installedwith Adobe products and manages the download and installation o updates or you. As longas the automated notication eature in Adobe Updater is turned on, you will be alertedautomatically when the updates are available. You can then ollow the onscreen directions todownload and install the updates.Alternatively, you can open a CS3 application that requires an update, choose Help > Updatesto open the Adobe Updater, check all o the updates you want, and click Download and InstallUpdates. (See the chart in the previous question or an overview o CS3 applications thatrequire an update and the expected availability.) You can also visit

www.adobe.com/support/ downloads

to monitor when updates are posted and then download and install the updates oreach relevant CS3 application.

Q.Will required updates be available in all o the languages in which the relevant CS3applications ship?A.

We expect to release multi-lingual versions o the Leopard compatibility updates or AdobePremiere Pro CS3, Aer Eects CS3 Proessional, Encore CS3, and Soundbooth CS3. Tatmeans that English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, and Spanish versions are all expected inDecember 2007. In January 2008, we expect to release the update to Acrobat 8.1.2 Proessionalin English, French, German, and Japanese. Additional language versions are expected shortly aer that or Acrobat 8.1.2 Proessional.
