PRAYER BULLETIN - No.12a
Dear Prayer Partners,
"Someone is coming! Someone is coming", tais
was the word that was passing round the Temple at Jerusalem about
‘the year AD 1. Old Simeon and Anna were excitedly discussing this
wonder among their friends (Luke 1.25-38). It was almost time. The
Scriptures predicted the coming of the Messiah; the time~table as
set out in Daniel's Prophecy (Chapt 9) made it clear that the time
was near!
4nd then He cane! Hallelujah! You know the Christmas etory - a Babe
in a manger at Bethichen! He came - and according to plan (Gal 4.4)
“But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth Hie Son,
made of a women, made under the Law, to redeam then that were under
the Law, that we might receive the adoption of sons”.
Hie coming vas all pre-arranged by God - even to the very place & hour,
A-little time ago, I knelt, in Jerusalem, at the place where, they
say, the crib once stood ~'and I worshipped!
However, we do not stop to adore a helpless Babe in = manger, but
rather the Man who died on the Cross, rose fron the dead and Who io
now at the right hand of the Majesty on high.
his ie the Christ which the world needs! He alone can effectively
deal with its sin problem. "Oh, Plato, Plato,"cried Socrates, "I knowGed
can forgive sins, but I do not know HOW!" Yes, that ie the quest-
ion. Man's ingennity has been marvellous in the realms of science,
discovery, etc., but it has found no way by which man can escape sin's
Power to weaken, deprave, debauch, and dam the soul. BUT AN ANSWER
HAS BEEN FOUND!'*Hiis name shall be called Jesus for He shall eave His
People from their sins". (Matt 1.21). God's great Gift was not merely
a Babe in a manger, but the Man who died on the Cross that we might
have our sine forgiven and live forever!
His first coming brought light to the lost, life to the perishing,
comfort to those who mourned, joy to those who waited in hope. But,
alas, it brought only sorrow’and darkness to those who rejected God's
marvellous Caristmas Gift!
As the first coming of our Lord wes according to God's pre-arranged
plan, even so will His second coming be. (Hed 10.37) "Nor yet a little
waile and He that shall come will cone, and will not tarzy".
There are many signs today that indicate the noar approach of His
Second Advent. Oh, What a joy and glory that coming will be to those
who are ready to meet Him! But what edness it will bring to those who
have rejected His clains, and refused Eis grace!
Someone’ is coming! Yes, Gomeone is coming again! Millions of believ-
ing hearte throughout the world are waiepering it to one another
excitedly! "Jesus is coming again!" The aigne are all around us —
Hallelujah! But the central sign of all signs - is the retum of
Joreel to the land of Palestine. It is the great outstanding wonder!
(Luke 21.29-30) "Behold the Pig Tree and all the trees, when they
ow shoot forth, you see and know of your own selves thet summer is
nigh at hand. So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass
kmow that the Kingdon Of God’is nigh at hand".
The Pig Tree (Israel) is moving with life! Sné has nationalised after
2000 years of hibernation! Jerusalem is no longer "trodden down of
the Gentiles" (Iuke 21.24). The same is true of all the "trees" - the
netions. Never in history has so many nations nationalised in so
short 2 time. The revived Roman eupire ia evolving rigat now (3.3.C)
Brethren! Israel's return to the land means the dispersion is at am
end, and the Church of Jesus Christ is almost completed! "Oh, it
mast be the breaking of the day". The hour ie late - if ever all the
means of grace should be used with all diligence IT 19 NOW! More
self-examinstion, more separation and holiness, mure intercession for
the lust, more gathering together for prayer and the ministry of the
Word(Hed 10.25), more witnessing, more participation in Missionary
endeavour! "Little Children, It ie the last time!”
SOMBONE IS COMING! Hallelujah - Someone ie coming!!! Glory!!!
