As you may know, student enrolment in Vancouver’s schools has declined over the pastseveral years. Because the provincial government provides school funding on a per-pupil amount, this decline in enrolment has resulted in the Vancouver School Boardreceiving less funding to run local schools.As a result of this decrease in funding, the Vancouver School Board is facing a budgetshortfall and must make some difficult budgeting decisions. One option they areconsidering is some school closures which will allow the School Board to save money.The savings from these school closures would be used to support educational programselsewhere in the Vancouver School District. Currently, there are 5 schools beingconsidered for school closures across the City of Vancouver. Students impacted by
