In addition, our educational experience is unusual in its emphasison extracurricular activities that help our students grow personally as well as proessionally. This Fall, we opened new, modern educational space, with classrooms specicallydesigned to incorporate new technologies into team-based learning. Ater spending 18months in this newly designed science curriculum and a year in required clinical clerk-ships, each student will then select a “major” area o emphasis under the tutelage o aaculty mentor. Throughout the experience, each student will be guided by an advisorydean, a senior aculty member who will help each student plan her or his personalizededucational experience. In the clinical arena, students will help in the care o vulnerablepopulations with no other healthcare options and patients who could choose to have theircare anywhere in the world. Our students see the most basic o medical problems, as wellas the most complex o quaternary care. Our students also have a remarkable range o op-tions to pursue research, ranging rom the most undamental to translational and clinicalresearch, as well as to participate in a wide range o global educational experiences. Our extracurricular activities, centered around the Bard Hall residence, include BardHall Players theater productions and monthly Musical Monday classical perormances,Rugby Club and other athletic programs, Lang Youth teaching and mentoring programor local adolescents, International Health Organization and many more communityservice, advocacy and specialty interest programs. This “inormal curriculum” providesmuch o the “glue” that brings such lie-long camaraderie to the P&S experience.Top medical school candidates will always have a wide range o potential options orobtaining their medical education.
