Hopefully you’re keeping well and enjoying your me here at the grand oldUniversity of Glasgow. Alas with the nights seng in, the chill creeping roundand wee snivels simpering up to the back of lecture theatres, summer is allaway. I know how it is when deadlines and exams loom out of nowhere- you’vegot no me- barnies start about how cold the at’s allowed to be at nightand food turns from a relaxing break into just fuel for the machine.I’d just like you to know, if things are geng on top of you, there’s a whole load of acvies and support available right here at the University. So to turn any winterfrowns around and help ease any worries there’s a rosy ve day health ‘week’ of acvies to help you keep healthy and happy in these new cold climbs. Up at the gym the youngsters run lots of tness workshops and sports classes andtraining things week in, week out. ForHealth Week, all of them will be free of charge to give everyone a chance to seehow good they are.
Stretch 2 Harmony 
isone of the classes that takes place weeklyup there. The class improves exibility,posture and core stability - which soundsespecially useful for grannies. In just underan hour the range of postures and exer-cises should leave you feeling relaxed andrefreshed. It sounds excellent doesn’t it?If bubble baths and biscuits aren’t doingthe trick, this could be just the cket to getyou back to feeling just as brilliant as youdeserve to feel.

Those dears at the University Gym are be-ing awfully kind. As well as making all theirsports sessions and workshops free to try,they’re also throwing open the doors of the gym for Health Week, making theirbrilliant facilies free to use. If you’vebeen peering in the windows wonderinghow those fancy contrapons and line-marked rooms can get you t, now is yourchance to nd out. Go onto the internetand type in: www.gla.ac.uk/sport/ andyou’ll be able to keep up to date with thedears and see what’s to be happening.

It’s important to keep yourselves allwrapped up if you’re going to be aroundthe place this winter. The lovely chaps overat the SRC have volunteers all week who’llbe wandering round the vast Uni Campushanding out free condoms- try and trackthem down. They’ll be along to those pop-ular club nights the unions run too hand-ing out the wee wellies to help you keepeach other safe.
