It requires a large investment and carries ahigh risk. Intensive catfish culture requires managementalmost 24 hours a day during most of the year, and unlessyou are willing to provide this type of management, youshould look at another type of enterprise.The information provided in this handbook pertainsprimarily to the culture of channel catfish (lctaluruspunctatus). However, much of it can also be used in theproduction of other species of catfish.
