Thank you for taking the Nme to speak with me today. Please see the Chicago Park District’s statement below.
Feel free to contact me if you have any quesNons.

“The Chicago Park District cleans Harding Park daily, removing all trash and debris. Unfortunately, this
includes illicit materials. Despite the allocaNon of increased resources, Harding Park remains one of our most
challenging locaNons to maintain. The Chicago Park District also works aggressively with the 11th Police
District to monitor park acNvity.

The Chicago Park District cleans and cares for our parks all across the city. We urge patrons to do their part to
keep our parks clean and inviNng by properly disposing trash and recycling in the cans that we provide at
each locaNon.

This weekend, the Chicago Park District will provide trash bags, shovels and mulch to dozens of organizaNons
for Earth Day clean-up events. We appreciate the efforts of countless volunteers who give their Nme and
energy, not only on Earth Day but throughout the year, to beauNfy our parks and help keep them clean.”
