Please see the below message string re: a field visit from OIG.
This is not the same as the SBI visit occurring on the same dates.

OIG has confirmed that they will be visiting Yuma and El Centro sectors. The tentative itinerary is travel
to on Monday, visit ELC Tuesday, visit YUM Wednesday, and travel back Thursday. There will be
approximately 6 OIG representatives and at least two additional HQ representatives. OIG expressed
interest in seeing fencing/ infrastructure, RVSS, etc – a standard briefing and border tour should cover
it. They also want a look at construction projects in process – a visit to the new ELC HQ and station
would be ideal.

Have (b) (6) work with (b) (6) and (b) (6) to set an itinerary (with OFO/OBP/A and M
concurrence) for this visit. We can work out who will accompany as we get closer to the date.

(b) (6) …..take a look at the below and see what else we might want to show (AMOC and how
the air piece currently works etc). Let’s work up a draft and take a look at how we can fit all this into
the time allotted. Please keep (b) (6) in the loop. I’d like to see a first draft
July 31st.

I spoke to (b) (6) at OMB concerning the Mr. Bopp Trip to the SW Border the week of August
20, 2007, to get a better idea of what he had envisioned for his trip. She said the he would like to Fly
out to Arizona on Sunday night the 19th. He would like to see SBInet on Monday and whatever else
the BP thinks they could benefit from him seeing. (b) (6) also thought it might be a good idea to
show him the UAV's if possible as well. She then figured he could fly to San Diego on Tuesday morning
and probably start touring after lunch time. He would like to see the San Ysidro POE, the San Diego
fence, he is very interested in seeing especially people processing, but also some cargo processing. She
realizes that this would take more than a half day, so these activities would be split over half of
Tuesday and Wednesday as you see fit. Then he would fly out either Wednesday night or Thursday
morning.

If the respective offices could put together a first draft of the itinerary as soon as possible so that we
can get moving on this. Please try and have it to me by COB Monday.
