Military Teens on the Move: http://dticaw.dtic.mil/mtom Provides information on a variety of topics of interest to military teens and has several components to assist teens with moving. Military Child Education Coalition (MCEC): www.militarychild.org
MCEC is a private non-profit (501(c)(3)) organization that is focused on the academic and school-related needs of military connected children. MCEC examines the impact of mobility on high school students and identifies strategies to improve school transitions. MCEC uses the Secondary Education Transition Study (SETS) as one of its primary tools which to address the many issues facing educational transitions. Typical issues addressed are: transfer and interpretation of records, extracurricular activities and senior moves, partnerships and resources, calendars and schedules, social and emotional issues, graduation requirements, and life after high school.
