Description

Some multi billion dollar companies believe they can do anything to customers (lie, cheat, ignore, including scam them). The solution (or a way to piss them off) is simple: start a victimsofexpedia-like reaction.

They probably delivered to their Office in Atlanta (Yes, they probably have your ticket in their office in Atlante). That happenes when they put the wrong adddress and the post office return to them. That was part of my case and they didn't know because you are talking with someone that has not idea where your tickets are. The next step is what they are doing: trying to go away.. Contact your credit card company as soon as possible to get your money back because EXPEDIA don't fix their own mistakes and they don't care about their customers

I am overseas working for the American Embassy and receive my mail via an APO address. I ordered tickets (couldn't get e-ticket for the flight for some reason) on February 26, 2008 and found out online that they had been delivered to someone in Atlanta. Turns out the site to which they had been delivered was a postal facility because Expedia put the wrong address on the Express Mail package. (The Express Mail cost $24.99). I called Expedia and made sure they had the proper address and was told that the tickets would be sent out from Atlanta. The week before my trip (March 19) I still had not rec'd my tickets and called Expedia. I was sent an email that day indicating that my tickets would arrive by March 18. Meanwhile, I called the USPS APO mail processing facility in Miami and found out that the original tickets sent there had been sent back to Expedia. So Expedia lied to me originally when I was told that the tickets erroneously sent to ATL would be sent on to my APO address overseas. On March 18, I called Expedia and spoke to Rodell who brushed me off and told me to call back the nextg day. On March 19, I spoke to Ashley who got snippy with me (and told me that this was her first day on the job) and held off putting me on with a supervisor. I finally got an answer back from Ashley: my tickets had come back as undeliverable and, as such, I would have to purchase new tickets (which I don't need since I was supposed to be traveling on March 19 for a reason) and fill out a refund slip. Ashley, very unprofessional and nasty, finally put me on with Debra, a supervisor. Currently I am on hold with Expedia as they try every which way to weasel out of this. I even told the supervisor that I can send her Expedia's email in which they quote back to me my proper address.

I didn't complain to them because I found EXPEDIA is difficult to sue. Besides, I want to tell everybody what they are. EXPEDIA in some way use the "Governing Law" to make sure that if you want to sue them you should do it in Washington. It will cost a lot of money just to set a court. It wasn't my intention to sue EXPEDIA and become a rich guy by suing a company, like some people did with Mac Donalds. What pissed me off was that they tried to scam me and one of their supervisor lied to me (by phone) in a tone that made me feel she was treating me as stupid and I have to accept it because they are EXPEDIA. She was wrong and now EXPEDIA is being exposed everywhere. I prefer to alert people about the EXPEDIA scam instead of fighting for some bucks in a court. So far is working: www.victimsofexpedia.com receives more than 400 visitors each day and EXPEDIA cannot do anything because my case proves (I have a lot of evidence) they attempted to scam me and failed miserably. Just alert your friends and relatives....

Did you complain to the FTC, or the Attorney General's Office? Not that I recommend they will do anything, but travel agents they usually do. The other thought is that every state has a Consumer Fraud Act Law, and it is automatically treble damage if you win. I am not a lawyer, but my issues are amazing, in my research I have learned that their are some cases they do accept, travel agencies are one of them. Although if they would accept it, you might be better of suing yourself, just make sure you state causes that they can not get out of. Why do a class action if you have your own suit. Expedia is big, you have damages, so it would seem that punitive damages would be in order. These companies get away with it because we let them.

The victims's of EXPEDIA site is completely NON-PROFIT. It is to alert people that might be scammed in the future by EXPEDIA. I don't make a penny from this. In fact I use my own money to keep the site. It is great to alert people about scam.
