In 1620, the ship “Mayflower”

arrived to the East coast of the

USA.
More than 100 British pilgrims
stayed to live there.
Winter was difficult and they were
very hungry. The native indians
helped them
Next year, they had a lot of food.
They celebrated a party with the
Native Americans (the
Wampanoag).
 This party was named
THANKSGIVING. Today it is
celebrated in the USA, on the 4th
Thursday of November.
 Americans have a big dinner with
their families and prepare delicious
dishes, specially the “STUFF
TURKEY”
It is an important festival. There is
no school. In big cities there are
STREET PARADES.
