Group show at Hobbs-Taylor Lofts

Photo: Jamie RoperThere was stark contrast between the opulence of Teller's and the flash spaceat the Hobbs Taylor Lofts. Talk about raw — the unfinished retail space onthe north side of the building, with a concrete floor, exposed ductwork, andstuds and insulation waiting for sheetrock, was by far the most jumpin' venueof the night.

A blues band choogled in a corner, robotsmade from motorcycle parts belched fire by the parking lot, KU art studentsexpounded from makeshift booths, and artist-provocateurWayne Propsthunga flock of pistols from the ceiling.
