1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour1/2 teaspoon salt1/2 teaspoon baking powder1/2 teaspoon baking soda1 tablespoon ground cinnamon1 1/2 teaspoons ground ginger1 teaspoon ground cloves1 cup firmly packed dark-brown sugar1/2 cup vegetable oil1 1/2 cups pumpkin puree, chilled1 large egg1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Dark Chocolate Cream Cheese Filling
1 cup powdered sugar1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder4 tablespoons (1/2 stick) unsalted butter, softened4 ounces cream cheese, softened1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract1 tablespoon milk
To make the whoopie cookies
: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and line twohalf sheets with parchment paper or silpat baking mats.
