The Young Americans,
who four times before took South Jersey bystorm, return in September 2008! These 40 talented performers will bring thenewest version of their National Music Outreach Tour to Mainstage Center forthe Arts on September 11-13. In the fall of ‘05, over 350 Mainstage regis-trants sang and danced their way through this impressive three day perform-ance workshop in voice, dance, and all aspects of performing arts. The eventwas capped off by a wonderfully entertaining two-hour public show by both ourkids and
the Young Americans
.This year’s workshop will be from September 11-13 and will concentrate onvoice, dance, and performance techniques under the helpful eyes of
the YoungAmericans
and their staff. The workshops will be held at the Camden CountyCollege, in Blackwood, and two performances will be held at Timber Creek HighSchool is Sicklerville. We will give you a letter asking your school or district notto mark your children as absent on Friday, September 12 since they are en-gaged in a 12 hour performing arts workshop, however, that decision is strictlythat of your school system. In the past many schools have excused the stu-dents attending. In the cases where they were not excused, many parents feltthat the value in
the Young American
experience was worth a day’s absencefrom school. That of course will be your decision.Demand for this
