The Circuit Presented by Kickball365 Grand National Kickball Tournament, which will take place on August 13, 2011). If a League consists of multiple divisions within an organization, only sectional, national, or international-level champions, playing at the League's highest skill division or designated league-wide Championship, will be eligible for the Circuit Cup Championship under this qualification method. The League is responsible for designating to Kickball365 which skill division and/or league-wide Championship meets these criteria. Examples: If you play in WAKA, then you will be invited to The Circuit Cup Championship if, in addition to registering your team in the Circuit, you win the Founders' Cup World Championship Trophy (designated league-wide Championship), not if you win your local League/Division Trophy. If you play in MUSA, then you will be invited to The Circuit Cup Championship if, in addition to registering your team in the Circuit, you win the MUSA Premium Draft skill level championship (highest skill division) or the Golden Lunchbox Tournament (designated league-wide Championship) -- not if you win your smaller division within the Premium Draft skill level, and not if you win at the Gold, Standard, or Remedial skill levels. If you play in VAVi, then you will be invited to The Circuit Cup Championship if, in addition to registering your team in the Circuit, you win the VAVi National Kickball Championship in the Kick Ass Division (designated league-wide Championship, highest skill division) -- not if you win your smaller division. If you play in ZogSports, you will be invited to The Circuit Cup Championship if, in addition to registering your team in the Circuit, you win the Players skill level championship (designated league-wide Championship, highest skill division) -- not if you win your smaller division within the Players skill level, and not if you win at the Sorta Casual, Casual, or Extremely Casual skill levels. ***Details on Wild Card Bids: (A) Teams may apply for Wild Card Bids starting on August 13th, 2011. Applications will be considered on a first-in-first-out basis. However, Kickball365 will not begin evaluation Wild Card Bid applications until August 20, 2011. (B) Teams must present Kickball365 with proof of qualifying League or tournament participation no later than the final event of the Current National Tour year. (In the 2011 National Tour Year, that is the New York City Grand National Kickball Tournament, which will take place on August 13, 2011.) Tournaments may not be those used to crown a champion in a League they must be events independent from the determination of a League Champion. Also, Leagues or Tournaments used to qualify under this method must consist of at least six (6) teams. The Kickball365 Executive Committee has the final say on whether a teams participation in the Leagues or Tournaments used for Wild Card Qualification, was, not withstanding the aboverequirements, meaningful and done in good faith. (C) The Kickball365 Executive Committee will, space permitting, approve teams applications for Wild Cards promptly. In the 2011 National Tour Year, teams applying for Wild Card status for the Circuit Cup will receive decisions on their applications by August 27, 2011. Wild Card teams may confirm their bids by registering for the Circuit and paying $600, rather than $500. Since Wild Card teams did not attend previous Circuit Events and pay the event registration fees Top Finishers & Circuit Qualifiers did, the Kickball365 community has determined the higher registration fee is fair.

The Circuit Presented by Kickball365 (D) Wild Card teams attending Circuit Cup will receive the same Pool Play game guarantee as other Cup teams. However, in fairness to Circuit qualifiers under the more preferred methods, their roads through Circuit Cup will be much more difficult:

SEEDING FOR CIRCUIT CUP CHAMPIONSHIP

Seeding for the Circuit Cup Championship will be done using the Pure Rankings derived from the National Tours CSS Standings on September 4th, 2011. A Teams Circuit Cup Seed will be determined by: Calculating the sum of a teams top two (2) event CSS scores attended during the current National Tour schedule. However, if a team attending the Circuit Cup attended only one event during the National Tour then the score of that Team will not be averaged. The sole score will be used. All League Champion teams are deemed to have fifty (50) Circuit Points at the end of the National Tour. A Team cannot claim League Champion points if they attend a Circuit Event during the National Tour. For example, The Meatballs who have attended multiple Circuit Events this year cannot claim a League Champion bid or points to apply to their CSS score. All Wild Card teams are deemed to have zero (0) Circuit Points at the end of the National Tour.

WILD CARD SEEDING GUIDELINES

(1a) If there are three (3) or less Wild Card teams, Wild Card Teams will be placed in pool play along with other Circuit team(s) that qualified under the more preferred methods. However, they will all be ranked behind all other teams qualifying for Circuit Cup under the other methods. Initial starting seeds as between Wild Card teams will be determined by the Circuit Cup Event Manager. Should a Wild Card team achieve an equivalent Win Percentage in Pool Play to any Circuit team(s) that qualified for Circuit Cup under the other methods, it will be deemed to lose all relevant tiebreakers under Rule 4.9.3. Wild Card teams tied with each other after Pool Play will use the existing tiebreakers in the Circuit Rulebook at Rule 4.9.3. (1b) If there are at least (4) Wild Card teams, they will all be placed in pool play with other Wild Card teams. Initial starting seeds as between Wild Card teams will be determined by the Circuit Cup Event Manager. Wild Card teams may be required to repeat Pool Play match-ups, as determined by the Circuit Cup Event Manager, to meet the game guarantee and to determine which team advances to Single Elimination. Only (1) team from the Wild Card portion of Pool Play will advance to Single Elimination. That team will receive the lowest seed in Single Elimination, meaning it will be matched up with the #1 Seed.
